Rescues & Adoptions
Sometimes life takes unexpected turns — and when it does, we believe every dog deserves a safe, loving place to land. At Missouri Flat Animal Hospital, we do our best to help connect dogs in need of homes with kindhearted people in our community. Whether they’re being fostered, found, or rehomed due to tough circumstances, the dogs featured here are looking for a fresh start. We share their stories on behalf of those who are trying to do right by them — and we’re grateful to use our platform to help them find the homes they deserve.
Daisy
Daisy is a sweet, affectionate American Staffordshire and American Pitbull Terrier mix looking for a loving home. She was found wandering alone in a Placerville neighborhood and brought to the animal shelter, where a microchip was discovered, but her owner never claimed her. Animal Control suspects she was likely dumped. Had Daisy stayed at the shelter, she would have faced euthanasia, but a kind Samaritan secured a temporary two-week stay at Uppity Pup while urgently searching for her forever home. Daisy is dog-aggressive and would do well in a one-dog-only home. She may do well with cats after a slow introduction, and is friendly with strangers. She is spayed, up-to-date on her vaccinations, and is on heartworm prevention. She is housebroken, enjoys care rides, and loves cuddling.
